What prompted you to play theremin? I suggest before to play theremin to have experience playing another instrument, a melodic one, in the way to have a trained ear to discriminates the notes and to correct the right tunning….

Official facebook page What prompted you to play theremin? 「触らないで演奏する楽器があるらしい。」という噂だけで、音色も聞いた事のない内に、やの雪先生のお教室に参加し、それっきりはまりました。 What were your first feelings when you heard the sounds of theremin and where did it happen? 体験にいった、やの雪先生の教室で。 なので、記憶の中では、自分の音を聞いたのが最初です。自分がこの音を出しているにも関わらず、自分自身がその音の中に埋没していきそうで、境界が曖昧になっていく様な、そんな印象を覚えました。恐らく、わたしにとって、日本人である事と、テルミンを弾いている事は、とても近い所にあります。これはちょっと説明が難しいのですが、たとえば、座禅している時とか、何かに祈っている時、内側に向いて、それがそのまま、広い宇宙につながっていく様な、そんな感覚が、テルミンを弾いている時の感覚と、とてもよく似ています。 What is your musical philosophy and what place it occupies a theremin? 音楽は魂の出口だと、わたしは思います。願いがあって音楽が生まれ、祈る心があって音楽に命がこもるのだ、と。音楽を奏でる事、あるいは聴く事は、心の中の想いと大事な思い出につながる最も良い方法のひとつです。自分の中の、一番美しい部分、一番やさしい心、一番善なるもの、自分はこういう人間だったんじゃないか、世界はこんなにも美しいものだったではないか、そんな事を思い出してもらえる様な、そんな触媒となれる様な世界を、テルミンと共に作りたい、と願います。 Prospects for theremin…
