\u00a0What prompted you to play theremin?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The theremin was for me like a mermaid\u2019s voice, which captured and fascinated me at once by the particular way it is played and its unique sound. It was a call which has never left me. As soon as I see a theremin I am always thrilled.<\/span><\/p>\n

What were your first feelings when you heard the sounds of theremin and where did it happen?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The first time I saw a theremin was in 2008 during a concert in an Italian theatre. I immediately fell in love with this instrument. It totally hypnotized me! I watched with astonishment and marvel a man, whose hands were vibrating in the air and fantastic melodies came out from this gesture.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your musical philosophy and what place it occupies a theremin?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I never played an instrument before I began playing the theremin. Thanks to the theremin I discovered the world of music, made new friends and felt incredible and fantastic emotions. I will always be faithful to the theremin. It is now part of my life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prospects for theremin and its place in modern music space — how you see them? For what qualities you value this tool?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The theremin is an instrument which is little known by people. Very often they hear it in film, commercials and music but they do not know that what they are listening to is the sound of this instrument. In order to really appreciate the theremin, you should listen to it not only with your ears, but also with your eyes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which manufacturer of theremin do you prefer?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Moog. He is the most famous manufacturer of theremin. I love my Etherwave Standard and my Etherwave Pro! But I know that in the world there are many skilful craftsmen who manufacture theremin.<\/span><\/p>\n

What you can recommend for beginners thereminists, or those who are just going to start their way of thereminist?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I would suggest not giving up if you cannot soon create melodic lines. And I would also suggest you always play with your heart, not with your head.\u00a0Learn some technique, improvise a lot and find your own style of playing.<\/span><\/p>\n
