What prompted you to play theremin? What were your first feelings when you heard the sounds of theremin and where did it happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

First I have heard the theremin played by D. Crisler in the internet. I was stunned by the possibility of playing in the air, and my husband (composer Martin Ulikhanyan) decided to purchase the \u00abMoog\u00bb Theremin, and started to write his \u00abSpace Vocalise\u00bb for Theremin and orchestra. <\/p>\n

What is your musical philosophy and what place it occupies a theremin ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The music should bring the goodness to the people. My candid desire is to acheive it by playing on Theremin.<\/p>\n

Prospects for theremin and its place in modern music space \u2014 how you see them? For what qualities you value this tool?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think the Theremin is the most original musical instrument in the world, and the most expressive electro-musical instrument. I think the interest in the instrument is increasing every year. The new compositions are creating by composers, the repertoir is growing, and this is the most prominent factor in the development of the interest to the instrument.<\/p>\n

Which manufacturer of theremin do you prefer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I play on the \u00abMoog Etherwave\u00bb , and I have not been tryed others to compare.<\/p>\n

What you can recommend for beginners thereminists, or those who are just going to start their way of thereminist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a beginer as well; I am practicing only one year under the kind patronage of great Lidia Kavina. She is really support and inspire me.
