What prompted you to play theremin?<\/strong>
\nAs soon as I installed the Internet at home, I researched \u201ctheremin\u201d. I happened to find Matryomin. My mother watched Matryomin on TV on the other day and she suggested that I should start learning.
\nI learned playing the Matryomin, then theremin, too. It was just 2 months later.
\nI was so fascinated by these musical instruments.<\/p>\n

What were your first feelings when you heard the sounds of theremin and where did it happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was on TV that I saw and listened to the theremin first time. Mr Masami Takeuchi was playing. The sound was very strange, off course, however, it was warm and beautiful. I was surprised that the electric instrument made a human voice.
\nThe sound of theremin struck me very much.
\nMr Masami Takeuchi is now my professor.<\/p>\n

What is your musical philosophy and what place it occupies a theremin?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like any kinds of music, especially classical music. I often play the classics.
\nThe theremin enables me to play pieces for the violin, which I was longing to play by violin, in addition it enables me to play some pieces for singing, which I cannot sing very well with my range of voice
\nWhen I play with a band, I use the sound effector. It is like a magic.. I enjoy my adventure for new sounds and performance.
\nI am essentially in pursuit of authentic sounds that the thermin produces I believe the thermin can express beautiful melody like other musical instruments.<\/p>\n

Prospects for theremin and its place in modern music space — how you see them? For what qualities you value this tool?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think there are more people who know the name of thermin in Japan these days, though there was few when I started to learn playing.
\nHowever, it is rare to see or play the instrument itself.
\nMost of people are surprised at only the way of playing. They don\u2019t pay attention to sounds so much, which possibly express musical richness.
\nI would like to play for the people who are not interested in \u201ctheremin\u201d nor even know about it. I hope my performance can touch the heart of those people.<\/p>\n

Which manufacturer of theremin do you prefer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like Mandarin Electron. My professor Masami Takeuchi is a representative of this. Theremin \u2013\u201cGordin Masazane\u201d has dignity. It performs rich, colorful and dynamic sounds.
\nI like its old-fashioned figure and sounds.<\/p>\n

What you can recommend for beginners thereminists, or those who are just going to start their way of thereminist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is important to do practice and continue without hesitating!
\nPlaying the theremin is all new for us.\u3000We often hit various problems. It has been interesting for me to think and seek the way to improve and overcome. The speed of improving depends on individuals. I believe continuation develop one’s ability,<\/p>\n
